- Discuss the post-operative best practices for healing and limb health
- Discuss optimum post-operative / pre-prosthetic exercises
- Become familiar with prosthetic terminology and componentry
- Know the essential elements of initial PT evaluation and goals after prosthetic delivery
- Appreciate the differences between transtibial and transfemoral prosthetic requirements and use
- Able to initiate and then progress prosthetic gait training and drills
- Learn to analyze prosthetic problems and gait deviations
- Discuss psychosocial issues of amputation and return to community, work, and recreation
