Damon Johncour, BOCP, A.B.C., CO
Damon is a Certified Orthotist and Prosthetist with over twenty years of experience in the O & P field. He holds an undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Texas at Tyler and attended Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois where he received a certificate in Orthotics. He completed his two and half year residency at MD Orthotics & Prosthetics. During that period, Damon attended several pediatric orthopedic clinics in the Children’s Memorial Hospital System where he worked closely with physician in a CP (cerebral palsy), spina bifida and scoliosis clinic.
In 1998, Damon and his family relocated to Raleigh to accept a position with a local practice. He provided O & P clinics at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson and Wilson Memorial Hospital.
In 2003, Damon founded North Carolina Orthotics & Prosthetics with the goal of providing a new level of orthotic and prosthetic care. The practice has since grown to four office locations and is planning future growth based on current success.
Mark Fordham is an ABC Certified Prosthetist (CP) who has been practicing in the field of orthotics and prosthetics for over 27 years. He attended UC San Diego and completed his prosthetic training at Shelby State University. He earned his ABC certification in 1994. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP).
Mark became interested in prosthetics when researching myoelectric upper extremity prosthetics as an undergraduate. He is certified to fit the Otto Bock X3, C-Leg, and the BiOM ankle/foot system. He was one of the first practitioners in North Carolina to fit microprocessor foot and ankle systems. Mark is also proud to have worked with many of our active duty soldiers that were injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
