About NCOPI

North Carolina Orthotics and Prosthetics was founded in 2003 by Damon Johncour. Damon believed that more could be done to serve the needs of orthotic and prosthetic patients throughout North Carolina. He and his partner William Stauffer pursued this vision and together they built a new kind of practice with an important mission. They wanted to run a practice that focused as much on the patients as it did on the orthotic and prosthetic devices themselves.

They wanted to spend as much time and effort needed with each patient to ensure that they understood their situation, their device and their opportunities to lead productive lives.

NCOPI is also dedicated to working closely with physicians, therapists and affiliated hospitals.

Before a patient may even need a device, we make ourselves available to assist in treating non-healing wounds, educating patients and doing everything we can to try and prevent limb loss. If surgery is deemed necessary, we make ourselves available before, during and after any surgeries at the hospital, a skilled nursing facility, at our office and even at a patient’s home when necessary.

We make ourselves available day or night, 24/7 — something our patients and health partners find valuable. We want our patients to know that we’ll be there for them for life.
