Dear Colleagues,

It is with great sadness I deliver the heartbreaking news of the passing of our owner and friend, Donald (Damon) Johncour.  After a brief and unexpected illness, Damon passed on February 23rd. We at North Carolina Orthotics & Prosthetics extend to Damon’s family, friends and associates, our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy.

Damon will be deeply missed, leaving behind countless fond memories. He would not want us to grieve his death; rather, celebrate his life. He always enjoyed life to the fullest with such a positive outlook. His positivity was very admirable, even contagious. He always had a smile for everyone and was highly regarded by all who met him.

In 2003 when Damon opened NCOPI in his garage, he never realized the impact he would have on so many lives as he expanded his business across five cities. All who had the privilege of working with him recognized his big heart, and his patients and employees were like family to him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Bright Funeral Home, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, March 1st, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.

In lieu of flowers, donations be made in Damon’s name to:

Limbs for Life Foundation at www.limbsforlife.org/give-now or,

Transitions Life Care https://transitionslifecare.org/donate/donate-now/

Damon would want nothing more than for the company to continue having a positive impact on lives and continue serving patients.  As such, Cab Baldwin will continue managing business operations for NCOPI.

This is a great loss to NCOPI and to our community. Damon will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Let us remember Damon each time, with a smile upon our faces, and embrace life with his same positivity.

For questions, please contact Cab Baldwin at 919-556-3402 or email him at management.cbj@gmail.com.

Regards

The Staff at NCOPI
